Bad Mummy..am I???

Owh last nite was terrible. So terrible. That's what I could imagine what myself was like. Pity my children for having me as their mother. Owh..so sad. I shldn't do that to them as I promised myself for not doing so again. Why I shld be like that!!!!!!!!Argh help me.............!!!!!Do I need a specialist to handle my case???????......If it helps why not???!!!
One thing I realised about myself which really bad and so unforgiven, whenever I'm restless, I'll become a bad mother. This week is a tiring week for me, with loads of work at the office..handle the kids alone without assistant (u know my husband is a weekend husband most of the weeks, every month), need to face their tantrums day in day out, need to care of their studies...its makes me restless. The fact i'm a temporary single mother that make me so tired. I just dont have enough sleep, as need to wake up so early plus my sleep is not a full sleep (mere taking a nap in fact!!) and plus my weekend is not just a weekend where u can stay at your own home lay around, do whatever you like...its totally not..I have to go back to MIL house..its a compulsory thingy which makes me feel being forced to do it...aargghh..pls gimme a break...I dont want my children to be as stressful as I am......... and I shldn't complaining as what I'm doing now rite!!!???But if complaining makes me feel well enough, makes me release then I think its ok, am i rite?? Owh Please...I need my Saturday..please my husband please understand me....

Why last nite so terrible for me??? I checked Ifah's school bag. I found out that the teachers had given her test papers. U know..she's doing well, in fact very well for 6 years old kid who enter Std 1 class and sit a test for Std 1 subjects plus all subjects in English except Bahasa Melayu & Arabic. I shld proud of her. She scored 83% for Maths (One part of the questions she did all wrong because not followed the instruction, the question asked her to underline the answers instead she wrote it, what she wrote were actually the correct answers but that's not as per to the instruction) & 100% for Computer, but what makes me loss my mind when I ask her to read she unable to read it correctly. Its a shameful act that I scolded her rather than taught her nicely. I slapped my face, I pulled out my hair and they all looked at me without blinking. I just can't let myself to do it. If my daughter had become emotionally distress I'm the one to be blame. Owh God..please give me some strength. I just can not become like this forever for the sake of my children...Its really too much for them.

After the shameful act, I called them up both. I kiss them and hug them and say that I really sorry for what I did just now. I asked Ifah whether she mad at me for scolding her, she said its just fine but I know deep inside it hurts her. I know and really know. She said mummy wants her to be good, mummy wants her to be excellance she will listen to me. I'm sorry love..Mummy really hope Mummy able to control myself, able to keep my anger distance. Please pray for me dear. Ya ALLAH please, ONLY YOU can help me.......!!! I shouldn't write the bad side of me rite??but I think its not fair for the children as mummy's not always a wonderful mummy at all time. Sometimes mummy is just like a "monster" to them...Let this bad side of mummy will not be in existence at all after this. Let my story become a history and good side of me shinning over them like a sunshine after rain where they can slide over the rainbow then fallin' over pink flowerbed. I'll see them laughing and dancing joyfully. That's very nice hah!! Well, I'm so release now...which is damn good..I feel lighter and lighter..ALHAMDULILLAH...AMIN..

Didera, Mendera atau Terdera???

Last weekend tanganku ini cedera parah. Adeh..deh..deh..nak ambik gambor pun terasa payah. Hari ni pun still rasa pedih2 lagi...Adakah aku di dera, mendera atau terdera..?? Aku didera oleh diri sendiri tatkala tengah menggoreng tauhu, tauhu atau taukwa kata org Utara yg di adaptasi dari dialek Hokkien bermaksud tauhu keras...taukwa tu melompat balik masuk dlm kuali lalu terperciklah minyak yg mengelegak panas kena kt tanganku ni hah..Tahap kecederaan agak serius sebab sampai la dok rasa pedih lagi nih..

Penne with Chicken & Asparagus

Malam tadi mmg takdak idea nak masak. Bila tanya Ifah nak pasta lagi. Hmm..nak masak pasta apa ni hah..bosan la balik2 buat yg sama jek. Godek punya godek kat rak buku aku tu, terjumpa la sebundle resepi pasta dr Magazine Women's Weekly. Ada satu yg mengusik jiwa dan yg cukup bahan2nya..tapi bila dok belek p belek mai, ishh macam tak best la pulak. Then I make a U turn then modified la dia punya resepi mengikut selera anak2ku.

Supposed n3 ni semlm punya tp streamyx punya pasal ada delay sket ok..that's pur dinner last 2 nites, Penne with Chicken & Asparagus. Hmm..layan gitu2 je lah..x best la Penne ni besar ngat n hollow inside, Ifah pun x prefer sgt tp since nk mengabihkan stok mummy guna kuasa VETO paksa dia makan...Sorry anakku..Above was mummy's serving. The Pasta + homemade wedges + choc walnut brownies versi cuppie. Mummy nak rasa cemana brownie tu coz dok tgk Sophie dah makan 3 ketul dah..Bila tanya Ifah dia kata sedap (kan ke dia bawak p sekolah paginya) Sophie pun ckp best, and ternyata not too sweet la..just fine to my taste bud.

Choc Walnut Brownie

Petang semalam, Ifah cakap nak makan choc cake. Then I said to her, mummy nak buat cookies la. Then she agreed. Tapi bila mai malam kurasa sangat mengantuk..ishh kalau nak buat cookies ambik masa lama nih..so since last week dok belek resepi Chef Anuar yg satu nih..hmm try buat brownies lah..lagipun choc ganache yg lebih buat kek dulu ade lagi. Another reason buat kek ni lebih cepat dr cookies kan..dipendekkan ceritera, budak2 pun tido awal spt sediakala malam td. So, proses pun bermula; neways tgk resepi dulu ya.

Bhn2:
125gm mentega
35grm serbuk koko
*Cairkan mentega secara double boiler then masukkan serbuk koko dan kacau hingga menjadi paste coklat.

250gm mentega
280gm gula perang (brown sugar)- too sweet, I dah try dah so boleh kurangkan gula pada yg suka
5bj telur
125gm tpg gandum
125gm walnut- dicincang
choc ganache

This is how to do it:
1.Beat mentega n gula sampai kembang.
2. Then masukkan telur satu per satu, pukul sampai kembang
3. Pastu masukkan tpg gandum sedikit demi sedikit. Kacau dgn senduk je sampai sebati then masukkan walnut cincang.
4. Pour adunan ke dalam acuan bakar at 170C for 25min. Sejukkan dan sapu ganache.

* I put some in paper cup then tabur dgn almond flakes. I thot Ifah nak bawak the cuppies, tapi pagi tadi dia cakap nak bawak yg besar. So yg kecik ni mummy punya la ye...hmmm its ok baguih le jugak..kalau kat rumah tah bila la nak habis kan.

Antara Birthday Boss n Farewell Party

Birthday my boss last week Thursday. Terlambat masuk N3. Bz la bln ni kan..anyway Happy Birthday Boss dah diucapkan...we all beli Full fibre diet cheesecake sebab hyper health concious boss aku nih..Jap lagi kalau beli cheezy sgt kata nnt gemuk la..nak kena kayuh beskal 3 pat round la..apa la..utk tidak tension kan diri kami sendiri apatah lagi aku ni yg agak montel maka kami pun beli diet cake..Makan kek pun ada istilah diet ke..katanya 0% trans fat, full fibre lagi but wadabout the cheese???depa dh extract out the kolestrol kot.

Ini le bos I, Che Bakaq. One of my fren cakap muka dia mcm Fahrin Ahmad- the actor tu, tp Fahrin la yg mcm muka dia pasal dia ni lagi tua dari Fahrin tu..

Semalam pulak we all organised farewell party coz one of the collegue nak resign- Juraini nama dia. We had our lunch kt Swensen's Subang parade. Hmm tidak begitu mengujakan..The food tak berapa best sangat le..tapi dalam tak best2 pun kenyang la jugak.

Pagi nan sejuk

Malam tadi hujan lebat melanda daerahku lagi. Pagi ni gloomy je. Awan mendung berarak pun dah tak nampak sebab dah tebal sangat. Tunggu nak luruh je tu. My husband out station the whole week. As usual kalau dia tak dak kat rumah I will not switch on the tv starting dari Manghrib until habis revision with Ifah. Since dinner kitorang dah berganjak lebih cepat dari dulu, bila habih je study rasa macam dh malam sangat dah..walhalnya baru pukui 9mlm. Semua mata dah kuyu dah time tu. Alhamdulillah cepat sikit budak2 ni tidoq. Boleh mak relax2..tapi malam tadi semua ngatuk cepat. Tengok jam lah...belum pukoi 9 lagi pun. Agaknya sebab hujan kot.
This morning Ifah bangun cepat. Tengok jam 6pg (tapi actually jam tu di setkan 45min earlier than its usual time) so meaning baru 5.20pg. Terus I suruh dia mandi pagi and pakai baju sekolah. Nasib baik dia terus bangun n mandi. So dah siap pakai baju and minum susu tengok2 dia tertidur balik. Then adik pulak bangun. Si kecik ni memang bangun cepat esp bila dia terasa I'm not around. Nasib baik dia tak kacau mummy dia buat keja rumah, dia dok sibuk mengaler buku dia. So, mummy sempat basuh and sidai baju before azan Subuh. Syoknya.
After sending them to school, tak tau nak buat apa..belum pukul 8 pun lagi. I decided nak p breakfast, dok pikir nak makan apa ek..singgah la satu kedai ni tgk sajiannya alamak boringnya..tapi tah la tertarik jugak kerusi duduk pas2 minum...tak special mana pun tapi Alhamdulillah..kenyang jugak. Then headed to office..time2 macam ni chek soghang la yg dok ada tapi mandangkan got plenty to do, so see ya next N3.

Kids Playland

Petang semalam hujan lebat melanda Shah Alam. My plan memang nak duduk rumah saja but since my husband dah janji dgn budak2 nak bawak p playground, terpaksa la dia penuhkan janji2 manisnya itu if not riuh rendah la dok menagih janji esp kakak. Masa keluar tu dah renyai2..then masa on the way hujan turun dgn lebatnya so I suggested utk bawak diorang main indoor saje..so we all singgah kat Tesco EXTRA, then the kids really have fun kat Kids Playland. nak2 lagi Ifah berjaya collect 11bj gula2 bukan main happy minah tu.

Masak Lemak Daun Belinjo

Sebelum kahwin dgn my husband ni, takpernah tau pun macam mana rupa daun belinjo and tak tau pulak daunnya tu org masak dan makan. Emping belinjo aku tau la which I like, ada rasa pahit2 sikit kan. Lepas kahwin dgn my husband first time nampak daun ni bila ada sorang nenek kat sebelah rumah my inlaws bagi kat mak mertua aku- nenek tu pun dah arwah dah thn lepas...Masa tu anak aku yg first tu pun kecik lagi. Its just that sampai la aku tak boleh nak ingat macam mana org jawa pronounce daun ni...ishh tak boleh nak recall le...anyway kita guna bahasa standard je la ye..Beli kat pasar last weekend memang dah berminggu teringin nak masak..daun ni sedap buat masak lemak, anyway itu je pun masakannya yg penah aku rasa..tak tau la kot ada org buat sambal ke apa ke...Apa2 pun rasanya ok je la..tak dak rasa pahit pun..cara nak memasak seperti masak lemak putih lain jugak, but i add on some carrots n udang...Sophie memang suka carrot so instead makan nasik dia makan carrot saja...
Rasa2nya semua org dah tau nak masak ni kan, so tak payah letak resepi la no..Ala2 biasa2 je pun

Lunch awal hari ni coz anak2ku kelaparan. Pagi Ahad, my husband balik Meru. Me and kids tak ikut. Since that morning we dont have proper breakfast, pagi lagi my kids dah mintak nasik. Dalam kepala otak memang dah plan nak buat Black Pepper crab, tapi oyster sauce pulak tak dak. Then for sayur mmg plan nak masak daun "Tsur??"(Org Jawa panggil apa ek utk daun belinjo) masak lemak, so pk punya pk last2 jadi la Sweet Sour Crab. My kids memang suka makan crab tapi mummy ni le pulak malas sangat nak mengopeknya..Ish bercinta betul..dah tu budak2 ni bila makan ketam laju je mintak nak lagi, tak sempat nak mengopek isi.

Resepi ni main campak2 apa yg ada kt kulkas aku tu lah.
Bahan2 yg diletakkan adalah seperti berikut:
Ketam- digoreng separuh masak
Bhn tumis:
Bawang merah
Bawang putih
Halia
Cili kisar- dlm 6sdb
Sos cili
Sos tomato
Sos plum- optional
*Tumis semua hingga naik bau dan mesra, masukkan garam, kiub ayam jika suka, gula secukup rasa dan 2 btg serai yg dititik.
Dah serasi semua masukkan ketam dan goreng hingga sebati. Then hidangkan.

Dah lama teringin nak makan puding tapi was2 apakah aku mampu menghabiskannya???coz org kat dalam rumah ni susah sangat nak suruh makan. Tension sungguh..anyway since petangnya nak p rumah my friend and I wish to bring some to her house, so okla...ku teruskan jua niatku itu.

Actually nak membuatnya senang sesangat..I just bought the premix....ngelat sikit. Just tambah cream corn utk filling and tabur kat atas untuk memberi lebih rasa. Masuk ke dalam kulkas, waduh nyaman sekali dong!!!Anak2ku sorang pun tak makan they just kutip jagung tu saja..hikhihhik...sadis sungguh.

Roti Choc Marble

Our dinner time sejak Ifah start sekolah dah bertukar. Kalau dulu kitorang makan after solat Maghrib but now masuk Maghrib je mummy dah habih cuci pinggan. So, malam just concentrate kat Ifah n Sophie. Lagipun kalau buat habit macam dulu tak sempat I nak tgk the homeworks or revise with her.
Malam nya lepas pekena carbonara, dua2 org jd dizzy..mengantuk sakan I tengok.
Ifah request susu, she still minum susu kt botol eventhough dah 6 thn. hai macam mana la nak get rid from the bottle nih..puaih mummy ni berletiaq hampeh la dia nak ikut. Sesapa ada petua??? tgh dok bising mintak susu, tiba2 senyap sunyi rumah..bunyi tv jek..la dah tido rupanya..yg adik dok read magazine, tp cakap ngantuk jugak..since mummy ada projek apa lagi suka la depa tidoq awai. 8.30pm semua settled.
So, 2 days b4 friday terjumpa resepi ni- dari onigiri kat MYR. Sangat teruja nak try pasal masa kecik2 this is my fav. Masa tu I stayed with arwah nenek sebelah mak kat kampung. Siap tunggu mamak roti tu utk beli, bila nak panggil mamak tu kena jerit kuat2 pasal my granny's house ni compound dia besar walaupun rumah tepi jln tapi sebelah kereta lalu lalang jerit kuat2 pun mamak tu maybe tak perasan, masa tu harga dia 25sen. Sedap oo cicah dgn ayaq milo hangat.
Resepi boleh cari kat MYR ye..malas la nak tulis. But testimonials from my kids- sedap..pakat dok ulang p potong.

Dinner, Friday Feb 20, 2009

On last Friday my husband cakap dia akan balik lambat coz ada meeting petang, then tk makan kt rumah. So, I asked my kids, of course la si kakak tu kan. Dia cakap nak makan pasta. Yahooo!! senang keja aku. As usual mesti ala2 carbonara la..both of them like it very much. Jarang sgt buat bolognaise ke..baked ke..pasai depa tak berapa suka.

So, ni le dinner kitorang 3 beranak- Fettucine with seafood carbonara. Cara membuatnya mudah dan cepat, dah tu creamy that's why my dotters suka.
Bahan2:
Olive oil utk menumis
1 labu bwg besar kuning di potong dadu
Oregano yg kasar
Lada hitam ditumbuk
Whipping cream
Fresh milk
Seafood- their favorite is clamp
Kiub ayam
Garam
Parmesan cheese- optional
Fresh button mushroom- optional
Cara2:
1. Tumis bawang besar dgn olive oil, then masukkan oregano.
2. Dah wangi, tuang whipping cream and fresh milk. Agak2 sendiri tapi to get creamy sauce whipping cream kena lebih sikit dari fresh milk.
3. Masukkan kiub ayam seketul, then garam, lada hitam and seafood. Bring to boil sekejap. Masukkan button mushroom, sementara tu kacau selalu kalau tak nnt jd mcm kepala cream..kalau nak taste dia kuat sikit, masukkan parmesan cheese. Then bila kuah dah pekat, tutup api dan serve with any pasta you like.

Jejari Kreatif

Satu malam tu, while tengah study dgn dia, mummy tanya;"Esok kakak besar kakak nak jadi apa?" Ifah jawap "Nak jadi cikgu..eh tak..tak..Ifah nak jadi macam orang tu yg kita nampak dia hari tu mummy, yg lukis gambar kat kedai masa bawak Ashu beli barang. Orang yg lukis gambar orang la benda la apa la.." At first I dok pikir org mana lak ni..owh...baru teringat, thats ARTIST..bukan penyanyi or pelakon which definitely no-no, tapi pelukis. There you go..now I know what she likes most- ART. She's just like me. Dulu2 masa zaman sekolah I really enjoyed my art class, tapi when in Form 4 where we should choose our own elective subjects I really wish to have art as my subject but I'm not encourage to do so..well zaman dulu2 parents kan suka anak jadi lawyer, doctor etc so art ni takde org nak pandang la but time has changed. Any profession can be as professional as it can be. Even kerja mak andam pun dah sakan dah sekarang kan...So, I won't discourage her but I told her she also has to excel in other subjects too so that in future you will have more option (I told her by using 6 years old language la..or else she'd blurred out..sebab tak paham apa la mummy cakap ni..) Anyway, last nite she built blocks.

Sausages & Cheese Quesadilla

This morning, our breakfast theme is Mexicano. My husband and kids really love this. Yummy but not too heavy yet healthy. Last weekend, for the very first time terjumpa fresh Jalapeno Chillies kat supermarket near my house. Wahh excited gila. Then today for breakfast, we have Quesadillas. Wanna give yourself a try?? Let's look at the recipe.

Ingredient:
Tortilla- this time I'm using wholemeal tortilla- ready made
Cucumber- dice
Sausages- cooked; whether steam or fry; mine fried sausages
Spring onion
1 Jalapeno chilles- cut & roughly dice
Cheddar cheese & Mozarella- shredded
Optional:
Thousand Island & Ketchup

1. Prepare grill pan/ just pan. Then put 1 tortilla at a time, loads the tortilla with cheese, cucumber, jalapeno,sausages, spring onion, thousand island & ketchup and then top again with the shredded cheese on half side of the tortilla.
2. Let the bottom cheese melt so as to let the tortilla to be crunchy.
3. Then fold the other half of tortilla and turn the upside down. Let the cheese melt again then serve warm. Walla!!!

Ayam Goreng Yogya

I'm really a food fan. If I have a chance to travel to new places, I love to try local cuisine. Kalau tak dapat ke sana pun I'll try out the recipies. At the moment I am in love with Indonesian food eventhough a bit similar to ours in which sometimes some food we claim as ours but they also claim that food is theirs. The conclusion is, we are serumpun. Kalau pokok serai tu maybe Malaysia ni serai wangi Indonesia tu serai peha ayam...dah le tu jangan gaduh2 lagi ok!!


Malam tadi I try another chicken dish- AYAM GORENG YOGYA. Nengokkan gambar mcm ayam goreng biasa je tapi rempahnya actually pelbagai. Di hidangkan dgn SAMBAL TRASI (sambal belacan). Adapted from one of my recipe book: Aunthentic Recipies from Indonesia. Sebagai info: Ayam goreng style Indonesia ini semuanya harus direbus bersama rencah2nya kemudian baru di goreng. Jadi rasa rempah tu memang menyerap ke dalam ayam.


Lihat dulu ya bumbunya:
1kg chicken- I'm using free range chicken( more juicy and yummy)
2 salam leaves/ bay leaves
2 cups of thin coconut milk (santan)
2 limes cut into wedges (limau nipis atau limau kasturi
Sambal Trasi


Spicy paste:
1 tbs coriander seeds (biji ketumbar)
1cm galangal (lengkuas)
1cm fresh tumeric (kunyit hidup)
2cm ginger (halia)
5 shallots (bwg merah)
3 cloves garlic (bwg putih)
1tbs palm sugar (gula melaka)
1/4sdt garam


Cara2nya:

1. Buat sambal belacan macam biasa.
2. Prepare the spicy paste. masukkan semua bahan spice kt dalam food processor atau blender atau kalau rajin pakai lesung batu sampai lumat.
3. Panaskan minyak untuk menumis dan tumis spicy paste hingga wangi.
4. Masukkan ayam yang telah dipototng ikut serving size anda then stir fry sampai semua ayam tadi dah bergaul mesra dgn rempah tadi.
5. Masukkan santan dan bay leaves. Masak hingga air nya agak kering.
6. Agak2 hampir menghidang, goreng hingga garing, rempah yg tersejat tadi pun turut di goreng bersama. Kemudian perah limau ke atas ayam goreng tadi dan boleh di cicah dgn sambal trasi sekiranya suka. Tapi sedap juga di makan begitu saje..




Disamping itu, untuk menghijaukan pinggan, kene ada sayur baru la lengkap gizinya. Aku just buat sayur campur saje untuk makan malam kami. Ini semua org boleh masak kot no. So, tengok gambar je lah.

Sophie bersuara serak

Last weekend secara rutinnya, every 2 weeks we all sefamily akan balik tido kt rumah my mertua kat Meru. Suddenly malam tu..jeng..jeng...jeng..nak citer hantu ke ni???anak- anakku yg 2 org tu asyik dok nangis..Sorang nangis, sorang lagi tido, sorang lagi tido sorang lagi nangis..berganti2...tapi mummy buleh sabaq lagi..tup2..eh..ni dah pukul bape pagi dah ni???..tiba2 dgr bunyi org berjalan..eh..dah dekat subuh dah ke???kebiasaannya my FIL akan bangun around 4.30pg utk solat sementara dia tunggu subuh..alamak takkan dah pagi..aku belum tido lagi ni..dah la pagi nnt utk breakfast mak mentua aku dah sound awal2 suruh buat roti jala..kang lambat bangun jenuhla aku....aku tak boleh nak tido pasal depa 2 org tu still dok continue nangis...siap bangun duduk tu masa nangis..pas2 tido..pas2 bangun...


Si kakak tu pahamla pasal dia cakap dia sakit tekak, tak boleh telan...yg adik ni aku musykil sikit, yelah dia kan belum tahu nak bagitau sakit tu mcm mana rasa unless kalau dia nampak ada bruise ke dia bagitau la dia sakit walaupun benda tu actually dah tak sakit..rupa2nya si Sophie ni pun kena sore throat pasal tu la dia tak boleh tido, coz the next day dia hilang suara. Sampai la pagi ni suara dia belum ok lagi..ye lah cuaca sekarang panas sungguh. Even mandi pagi pun rasa macam mandi dgn water heater, lepas mandi pun boleh berpeluh.


Petang semalam mummy sempat la record suara Sophie yg serak2 basah tu for the first time buat kenang- kenangan..hehehhe..first time anakku tak de suara.


Starting 2009, me and my husband ada resolution baru. Kalau selama hidup bersama ni kitorang tk penah ber"exercise" tapi this time kitorang pi joging pasal masing2 dah gedebab. However, bulan February ni baru je start and we all just buat weekdays jek...since Ifah masuk sekolah cepat (her school starts at 7.45am till 3.30pm) so lepas hantar Ifah to her school, then hantar Sophie to her nursery we then continue to the nearest lake at our house. Since tasik tu besar, ukur lilit jogging path dia pun besar la jugak kan..so kitorang jog + jalan for 2 laps, pas2 balik la...then mandi2 terus p Office. Like yesterday we jog, so malamnya I dah tak larat nak masak coz bila balik je mata rasa mengantuk sangat. Malam tadi tu pun kena tahan jugak mata utk buat revision sikit dgn Ifah.. tu pun dah tak larat..Pukul 9pm habis study dgn dia, mummy dah melepek..tertido terus sambil menidurkan Sophie. Conclusionnya kalau tak de N3 makanan meaning I pegi joging le tu..hehhehe.

This morning pun still rasa kepenatan tu lagi, breakfast tak buat pun just goreng sosej bodo dgn fries utk Ifah..lepas htr Ifah n adik, mak pak depa ni p kedai mamak pekena teh tarik dgn roti canai..


Teh Tarik ni terpaksa di tapau sebab tadi panas sangat. Teh Tarik kurang- kurang manis.

Apam Mentega

Malam tadi dok pk2 apa la nak buat utk breakfast ni..kelebek p kelebek mai..apa kata try buat apam, org utara pangge apom. Masa dalam pantang bersalinkan my 2nd doter, tgh2 boring tak tau nak buat apa, i punggah segala magazine dan buku resepi mak yg lama2 then salin resepi. So, Apam Mentega ni adalah salah satu darinya. Start lepas pantang tu la, keinginan nak masak tu membuak2..kalau tak malas sungguh nak angkat kuali. Apa lagi nak angkat periuk kukus kan..Since lepas bersalin tu, aku terus rajin bertapa di dapo. Siap masuk kelas masak lagi u..hishh b4 this tak penah terpk nak masuk kelas...agaknya anakku ni bakalan jd chef terkenal kot no..ala2 jamie oliver ker...martha stewart ker...nigella ke...hah celebrity chef gitu!!!AMINN..nnt mak dia boleh interfrem kt TV..kekkeke...Sekarang ni pun Sofea ni mainan dia adalah acuan2 mummy, gelas toksah citer la dh 4 biji pecah..dah tu lagi kalau tak dapat main dgn perkakas dapur dapat bertenggek tepi tong gas pun jadilah...hmmm anaaaaaaakkkkkkkk..anaaaaakkk.


Anyway, ni layan gambar Apam Mentega ni dulu before tengok resepinya ye..

Bahan2:


1 cwn gula + 1 cwn air = jadikan gula hangus
1 buku mentega- di pukul hingga kembang
3 biji telur + 1 cwn gula= pukul hingga kembang
1 tin susu cair
3 cwn tpg gandum + 1 sdt soda bikarbonat + 2 sdt baking powder = diayak


Cara2:

1. Panaskan kukusan.
2.Masukkan adunan mentega ke dlm adunan telur+ gula yg telah dipukul hingga kembang.
3. Kemudian masukkan susu cair, tpg dan gula hangus. Kacau sebati supaya tak de lagi tpg yg bergentel.
4. Masukkan kedalam acuan yg telah digriskan (tapi kalau pakai acuan plastik tk perlu digriskan.
* I'm using acuan puteri ayu.
Boleh di makan begitu saja atau dengan kelapa parut bergaram.

Tea break

Semalam since kitorang tdo kt my MIL's house, kene la rajin masuk dapo kan. Kat sini makan complete sungguh, breakfast, lunch and tea time. Asyik medang dgn mangan je lah. Nasib bek supper tak payah buat. So sebab dah boring makan melayu, aku introduce kat kt mak pak mentua ku makan ala2 western. Tak la Western mana pun cuma buat hotdog je pun tp open style- so I named it "Open Sausages". My husband suka la..coz I made some coleslaw, buat wedges which I made from scratch, so dpt makan kentang fresh la and then the presentation tu lain dr biasa.

So, the hotdog bun cut into 2, then put the coleslaw, half the sausages and put some tomatoes n cucumber.

First time sit for test

Hari ni Ifah will experience sit for a test for the first time after 11/2 mth sekolah. Today's subjects: Maths & Bah. Melayu. Macam mana la agaknya ye..hmm risau jugak mummy dia ni, dari semlm dok remind dia suruh jawap cepat tapi betul..so last weekend mmg kena buat latih tubi la..tension kawan tapi yg paling mummy risau bila nnt kena test on Akhlaq, Fiqh & Seerah. Can she do it? InsyaAllah.
Just can't wait to get her feedback sat lagi.

Nasi Daging

Semalam, plan nak buat Nasi Daging. Nasi Daging ni memang fames kat Kedah esp dikalangan orang Patanni. My father's side mmg dari Patanni whilst my mother side's asal dari Hadyai. Kalau sesapa pernah p Pekan Rabu kat Alor Setar tu, you all boleh tgk ada rempah peket ready made. See photo below.
Kat kawasan Kpg Pattani, nasi daging ni biasanya dihidangkan ketika kenduri kahwin atau pun ada majlis2 kenduri lain atau pun ketika raya. Kalau time kenduri kahwin kat kampung diorang akan sembelih lembu, so biasanya 2 ekor lembu pasal sedara mara kan ramai. Nak lagi bila buat nasi daging memangla tak cukup kalau sembelih sekor. Cara masakan yg simple tapi sedap. Kalau nak tau kena la try. Sepeket ni boleh buat utk 8-10 orang makan.

Cara masakan seperti tertera kat peket tapi secara sinopsisnya, mula2 kena rebus daging tu supaya empuk so bila masak dgn nasi takla hangit nasi tu sebab nak menunggu daging tu empuk kan. Siapkan bahan tumisan seperti bawang merah, bawang putih dan halia, bunga cengkih, bunga lawang, kulit kayu manis dan buah pelaga. Beras perlu dicuci dan ditoskan terlebih dahulu, then tumis bahan tumisan hinga wangi, masukkan tomato sup (spt yg disertakan) then bancuh serbuk rempah tu tumis lagi kemudian masukkan daging yg dah direbus, kacau sebentar masukkan air yg secukupnya untuk masak nasik. Boleh guna air rebusan daging tadi. Bila air mendidih masukkan beras. Then tanak sampai masak.

Daging tu then di hiris nipis dan ketepikan. Kawan utk nasi daging ni ialah air asam, tapi kalau nak tambah sayur boleh buat acar timun ataupun dalca.

Laksam- sebuah eksperimen yg kureng

Dah seminggu dok teringin nak buat laksam, so last Saturday I try to make it. Tapi keciwa dgn resultnya. First, on the laksam itself- agak keras tak tau le pasal apa..maybe terlebih tpg gandum or maybe terpekat sikit. Tapi kalau ditgk based on photo looks so nicely done. Rupa paras yg cantik belum tentu sedap kanna. Then frust dgn kuahnya, agak cair, isi ikan sikit, dah tu macam tak layan la makan..tp actually tak la teruk sgt rasa dia cuma tk memuaskan hati le. Next time kena try lagi and kali ni nak kena bertapa dgn org pantai timur yg arif bab2 laksam ni.
Anyway, resepi utk laksam ni dapat dr Majalah Wanita edisi raya lepas.

ROTI JALA

Pagi tadi buat roti jala for breakfast cicah dgn Kari Ikan Nyonya. Teringin nak makan kari ikan tapi time consuming nak masak kari ni kan..but I have a solution. heheheh..rite from packet jela..Paste kari ni beli jauh nun kat melaka, jonker walk lagi..dr terbiar tak masak baik masak kan..kuang2x..sebenornya kurang rajin...hehehehe.
Rempah Kari Ikan Mak Nyonya- BEST!!!

Bagi sesapa nak buat roti jala, bahan2 mudah saje..very basic.

Ambik blender- masukkan tpg gandum, garma secukup rasa, serbuk kunyit sikit dan air secukupnya, then blend utk mendapat consistency yg sempurna (tak cair tak pekat) dan supaya tak block acuan tu. Pastu buatla jala kat atas pan yg dan digriskan. Then gulung kan. Siap.

Story malam tadi

Malam tadi sempena our anniversary, balik dari office terus ke SACC Mall. Takla special mana pun tapi since my husband nak makan situ, so we just went there. bagi sesapa yg belum pernah ke sini, SACC ni just beside Kompleks PKNS. We decided makan kat ASIARI. Ptg tu pulak tak ramai orang and quiet je..tapi yg hingaq anak2ku saja le. We ate at privacy area pasal kalau dok kt tpt yg x privacy org lain pulak yg tension dgn kelasakan anak2ku itu.

Menu- My husband- rice with roasted beef, water chestnut drink, mine- fried noodle with udg galah, sour sop frappe, ifah- seafood fried noodle- mango frappe, canai roll with chicken and vietnamese spring roll.

Habih makan balik rumah. Dah sampai rumah macam2 pulak ceritanya, tapi paling sadis..after mandi and happy, Ifah and adiknya masuk bilik depa utk ambik baju..suddenly ..GGRAAAAAAKGROOMmmmmm.." ARGHHH..MUMMYYYYYYY...haaaa..dgr Ifah nangis..tapi suara adik tak de pun..berlari la kami berdua ke bilik..Ya ALLAH, almari baju depa tumbang...nasib baik la ada katil baru yg jd menyelamat..kalau tak 2 beradik tu dah dihempap almari. Tapi yg kelakarnya..adik maintain cool..Nangis pun tak..agaknya tergamam kot..kakak je la yg dok kecoh...Hmm..mmg lantai tu tak berapa nak rata la tu..almari tu goyang..so bila kakak dok tarik drawer, gegaran berterusan membuatkan ia terus tidak stabil lalu terbalik.

Gostan sat!!

Gostan means reverse. Org Kedah kata reverse tu gostan..tak tau la asal usul dia mai dr mana but if u guys perasan, loghat kedah ni kekdg tu dia translate dr English words.
So, bila tok nenek kita cakap, and bila pikiaq2 balik, ehh..itu English word kan...?? Tak caya..meh kita tgk:

But anyway, I'm not to teach ok..Just nak gostan date. N3 kali ni nak citer what happened on 11 Feb. 2009. First of all, pasal my menu-Mihun goreng resepi Bonda. Copy paste dari apa yg mak penah masak tapi rasanya maybe berbeza. Agak2nya if abahku itu merasa, dia suka kot.But this time amat kurang pedas, and lebih udg kering. Udg. kering bukan sebarang udang, tapi udang yg depa keringkan kat Tanjong Dawai tapi juai kat market spg. Kola, kt kpg ku la tu, besaq2 oo..syok sungguh..sapa mau order???hehehhe..kat sini mana nak cari besor2 cenggitu..nak kena p sabak bernam baru buleh dpt.
Bahan2nya:
Bwg merah, bwg putih,
lebih kurang 10- 15gm udg kering
4-5 cili kering
* Blend kesemua di atas
Sedikit kicap, garam.
2 keping bihun kering- di rendam
any seafood you wish to put
Fish ball
Tauhu- digoreng 1/2 masak
Sawi
Taugeh

Cara2:
1. Tumis bhn2 yg diblend.
2. Dah wangi dan garing masukkan seafood n fish ball, garam, kalau suka 1/2 kiub ayam, dash of kicap.
3. Masukkan batang sawi, dah layu sikit masukkan mihun.
4. Seratakan kemudian masukkan daun sawi n taugeh.
5. Dah sedap tu, tutup api then hias dgn daun bawang, bwg. goreng, tauhu goreng di potong kiub dan sedikit keropok sayur plus sambal kicap.
6. Bancuh le air oren ke, ribena ke..mesti syok.
Resepi diatas amat cukup utk 2 Adult, 2 Children.

Today is my 7th Wed. Anniversary

Happy Anniversary to both of us, the husband n wife. Tak kusangka dah dekat 10thn dah. Anyway, Alhamdulillah we able to manouvre all the pacarobas dalam alam berumahtangga. Pheww...ayat!!!..Thanks because able to handle my perangai yg ala2 budak2 ni. Anak2ku pun pening dgn mummy depa ni, tak tau la abah depa pening ka dak dgn bini dia nih...For sure punya la kan. But for my husband, thx coz u always ok with whatever things that I want to do (as long as within the batasan).

So much to thankful for actually and thx also for the surprise gift u gave me last nite...Sungguh mengejutkan. Hehehehe..this time ur surprise is a real surprise. You have grown up!!!kekekeeke...So, hopefully Allah will bless all our ways in up-rising our beautiful family forever. Hope for the best but need to work out to be the best!!

Kek Batik

Malam tadi buat kek batik ni, resepi copy paste dr BBB fr Myresipi. Sedap, senang & cepat tapi adjust a bit resepi dia. Kek ni antara faveret Ifah. Dah lama beli bahan cuma tang mood ja lambat mai sket. So mlm tadi buat utk bekal dia p sekolah. Kek batik ni telah mencederakan jari genit anakku yg bongsu tatkala dia tgh nangis nak tdo..dh dekat pukoi 10 mlm baru siap. Tatkala tu mummy tgh dok tekan adunan ni kat loyang, Sophie nakkan coklatnya aku pun dgn selamba suruh la dia calit kt sudip yg guna utk transfer adunan tu, sekali dia nangis kuat daaa...ingatkan pasal ngantuk ke..rupa2nya..dia cakap.."Mummy..mummy..hot..hot.." sambil tunjuk jarinya yg kenit dan genit tu..alamak..kesiannya..sorry anakku...merah jari dia wei..Ya AMPUUUUNNNN...sampai nak tdo pun dia stil ckp sakit..Bila mummy nak letak ubat..aka minyak angin dia x mo katanya sakit...alaaahaaiii kesiannya la.. Berbalik ke cerita kek tadi, adunan kali ni agak lembek sikit pasal biskut marie kureng. Patutnya letak11/4 bungkus, tapi I just ada sebungkus je, anyway boleh layan la jugak...

Ini balance 2 ketoi yg ada kat ofis, tp di kala n3 ni ditulis dah wasalam dah pun. Bekaih pun aku dah basuh. Amin...

Bahan2 sgt simple, boleh di beli kat kedai runcit terdekat:
1 buku mentega
1 tin susu cair
1 bj telur
1 cwn gula pasir
1 cwn serbuk koko
1/2 cwn milo
11/4 peket biskut marie

Cara2:

Masukkan semua dalam periuk or kuali kecuali biskut marie. Panaskan dgn api kecil sampai kacau hingga pekat.

Dah pekat tu masukkan biskut marie. Dah serata alihkan ke loyang, padat2kan dan simpan dlm peti sejuk. Makan time dah sejuk baru best!!

Projek bilik ifah

Semalam we all p cari katil for the girls, suppose hari ni sampai tapi tadi kedai tu call cakap katilnya esok baru deliver. Driver lori cuti lagi..Agaknya cuti Thaipusam lg kot. So mummy yg overexcited pasal nak separatekan the girls terpaksa la tunggu lagi satu hari utk overreact. But then semlm projek mengemas bermula with all the shiftings and redecorate..pergh penat gilos..thats why le malas nk mengemas ni tau..pasal mummy ni kalau berkemas bukan hanya setakat sapu n mop lantai tp nak shift furniture la make over la..tu yg penat tu..baik masak lagi syok kan...anyway..semlm pasang new curtain..bukan new actually, dah mmg tak dak curtain pun kt bilik dia ni..On dec, I painted their room, then tunggu sebln tu utk mood deco dtg lagi..ni sebab nak masuk katil baru tu yg mummy semangat nak redecorate lg..lagipun curtain depa pun dh siap..tinggal nak pasang je..so layannnn...

Ahad dan Senin

Lagi story mory pasai makanan..cuti panjang keja kt dapoq je la..anyway..Ahad yg baru nan lalu I baked a chicken- jarang2 sekali masakan ini terhidang di meja makanku. Resepi kali ni from my "TAIKO". So, resepi ni since blom ada nama, saya letak disini as AYAM BAKAR DR KAMAL. Tengok la ayam tu super kena sunburnt paling kronik..kesian sungguh. Anyway, sedap, saya buat rempah tu kasi manis sket..yummy!!Bahan2 senang dicari dan mudah didapati. Bahan2:
1 ekor ayam- saya guna ayam kpg
8btg serai- racik dan bubuh dlm blender
5 ulas bwg merah
2 ulas bwg putih
segenggam biji ketumbar- basuh dan bubuh dlm blender
segenggam jintan manis dan putih- basuh dan bubuh dlm blender- i just used serbuk punya dan tu jintan putih tak dak dlm stok, harus x pakai
seinci lengkuas- bubuh dlm blender
2 inci Kunyit hidup- bubuh dlm blender
Garam dan gula secukup rasa- bubuh dlm blender.
2 helai daun pandan sumbat ke dlm ayam

Cara2:
1. Blend semuanya dan lumur ke tubuh ayam. Perap selama sejam atau overnite.
2. Bakar pada suhu 200deg. selama 11/4 jam.

Sedap di makan dgn nasi & dicicah bersama2 sosnya.
Petangnya pulak p jengok wife my husband's fren. Baru bersalin. Baru tak baru la dah sebln dah kawan tu bersalin..so sempat ambik sekeping je gambar masa tgh dukung baby ni..si Sophie pulak sibuk jugak nak duduk atas mummy sudahnya muka baby x clear sgt, yg clear muka si sofea ni..




Tapi paginya tu kami berempat p lepak kt Tasik Shah Alam. Bawak depa ni p playground kat situ..balik rumah dah 12.30tgh hari.Masa p tgk baby td, my SIL call suruh singgah rumah ibu mertuaku makan nasi carrot dia masak. Masa tu dh pukul 7pm, kitorg mmg tk plan nk tido situ this week, so betul2 singgah makan then balik rumah la. Habih tu ayam bakaq tu ada balance lagi..nak buat apa tu chek?? Hmm hari Sabtu hari tu ada buat roti- Roti Pullman resepi dr Alex Goh..so, buat sandwich la apa lagi...Tapi nak tayang gambar roti tu dulu. Sedap n kenyang sgt walaupun makan roti tu cuma 2 keping.

Pagi: Baked Chicken Sandwich with Pastrami


Lunch: Nasi n masak lemak cili api babat dgn rebung


Tea time: Kaya Toast


Malam tak dak dinner...sapa nak makan nasi dipersilakan but me, dah tutup buku. Tak makan apa2 dah. Just kudap2 makan buah jek..

Aktiviti sempena cuti Thaipusam

Last weekend was a long weekend. We all tak p mana2 just stay @home. My target nak kemas rumah which not my favourite tapi kena buat la jugak...Kemas rumah bermaksud shift & change everything. Anyway, tengok dulu kronologi event & menu yg ada starting from Friday 6, 2009. Untuk pengetahuan, time ni politik Malaysia mengganas lagi dgn kemelut politik kat Perak...


FRIDAY 6 Feb, 2009
Lepas ambik Ifah kat sekolah, we decided singgah kat Kompleks PKNS (Kompleks is what local people used to call) for lunch and utk cuci2 mata. Kompleks ni tpt dimana tak sah kalau tak singgah bile time raya. Ifah nak makan Kyross Kebab. So, we just ordered kebab 1 set. While waiting for food i captured her pic.


Lepas makan, p beli groceries sikit kat pasaraya kat bawah tu then chow balik office. Iffah ni mummy bawak p ofis up to 5.30pm. Lepas tu balik then fetched adik kat nursery which just 5 minutes drive or jalan kaki.
Hasil dari membeli belah kat kompleks tu, malamnya our dinner just jelato wrap ni..of course yummy kalau tak my husband takkan suruh buat lagi..
The wrap tu pakai tortilla ready made, then grill garing, just letak mayonis, potong daging burger garing, saute bawang n timun, letak salad pastu tuang thousand island n cili sos and mozarella left to melt. Then cut into 1/4 for serving.Best dan kenyang.

Hari ni my husband not around, just us at home. So malas nak masak complicated just rugged je la. Menu hari ni, Pegedel Daging dan Sambal Oseng dgn petai.
Resepi Pegedel Daging (18 ketul besar duit syiling 5kupang)
3 ketul kentang- di hiris dan di goreng)
300gm daging- dihiris dan digoreng garing)
Sepokok daun bawang- di hiris
Bwg goreng sesudu besarGaram dan serbuk lada hitam/ putih
1 bj Telur
Cara2:

1. Tumbuk kentang dan daging secara berasingan hingga halus.
2. Campurkan semua bahan dan gaul sebati.
3. Bulat2kan sebesar duit 5 kupang, then panaskan minyak untuk menggoreng.
4. Celup ke dalam telur yg telah dipukul sedikit, then goreng hingga masak. Siap dihidang.







Sambal Oseng dgn Petai

Sambal Oseng maksudnya sambal kosong (dalam bahasa jawa) betul tak org2 jawa sekelian???di perkenalkan oleh birasku. I'm not Jawa ok..tp kawin ngan org Jawa. Masa tu tgh peknen my 2nd, so tak lalu nak makan nasik, tp bila rasa dia punya sambal oseng ni, wahhh makan bertambah2 you!!

Bahan2 simple saje; ikan bilis digoreng garing, bawang merah, bwg putih (dalam 2 ulas) cili padi (wajib banyak, lagi pedas lagi kow), belacan- semua bahan ni ditumbuk agak2 halus, then tumis sampai terbersin2, masukkan gula, garam, air asam jawa dan petai. Tambah air sikit kalau tumisan terlalu kering. Bila cili dah masak masukkan ikan bilis. Sedap di gaul dgn nasik hangat. Lepas tu boleh tgk kt cermin, wajib telinga merah terbakar...Wargh..panjang la pulak entry kali nih..nnt sat lagi sambung lagi.
